Handy Diffuser, Easy to Fold

from Gardena, CA  -  Photography Student

I use this product mainly as a diffuser for outdoor nature shots. In cases where it's not convenient to secure the thang with duct tape or clamping it to a support rod, its shape makes it comparatively easy to rest one of its somewhat straight edges against a flat surface -- something you can't do with a circular diffuser. The diffuser property itself serves my needs for photographing flowers and other close up scenes. As for the striped reflector side, I'll still need to test it. I've seen the gold stripes reflect back onto my subject, at about half the power of a solid metallic surface; as to whethr that's sufficient, that depends on the situation. Despite what I've read in a couple of reviews, I had no trouble at all with folding this product. My diffuser arrived in perfect condition and the triangular shape lends itself delightfully well to folding. If you need to travel light, this combination diffuser/reflector is worth taking along.
