better than cheaper sockets

Wanted something that felt more durable than standard inexpensive base at a reasonable price and this fit the bill. Works great.

Cheap quality

This socket works well until it breaks. It is a great, light weight, easy to use socket that works well with an umbrella or softlighter ii. Very straight forward operation. However, my bulb threaded in and sat crooked (slightly, but still usable). And after 3 or 4 uses the metal that the bulb screws into broke and detached from the inside of the socket leaving the socket useless. I would definitely recommend paying more for higher quality.

This AC Socket has a Ceramic base which will handle bulbs with high voltage up to 1000 watts.

The holder is attached with a socket, stand-adapter, umbrella screw hole with a screw for tightening, built-in on/ off power switch, and a 10' power cable with a wall plug.

Can be used at the top of studio light stands with a 3/8 inch or 5/8 inch stud. Its fixing screw can keep the umbrella sitting firmly. On-off switch.
