• The Meade 8" Equatorial Wedge for the LX90 made of die cast aluminum, is neccessary for long-exposure astrophotography and allows precise polar alignment of the telescope in the equatorial mode. For less than (about) 5-minutes short exposure images, the wedge is not required.

The Meade 8 inch Equatorial Wedge for the LX90 comes with an LX90 Adapter Plate to accomodate the LX90 drive base. It incorporates a deluxe latitude adjuster and azimuth fine adjuster for precise polar alignment. Requires no tool knobs, for easy assembly of the Wedge to the tripod and the scope to the wedge, It includes a compass for faster aligning on the pole.
