Nice to have - works w/stock Canon strap

Seems kind of expensive for what you are getting. I used a credit that I received from Adorama (thank you!) to order this. It has strong construction and is compatible with the stock Canon strap for my 60D. I am not sure yet how often I will actually use the quick release function but there have been times already in my couple of months with the camera that I have desired this feature. The only reason that I wouldn't recommend this product to someone would be that when adding this adapter, it makes the overall length of the entire assembly (original strap & adapter) pretty long, even if they are both adjusted pretty tight. My only other reservation would be that I am a bit less confident about the security of the strap with the adapter than without it but it does seem pretty sturdy.

Questions about this item:

Karl P  What is the overall length (its shortest) of the adapter? And, will these buckles adequately support a body with a long lens, such as a Canon 60D w/battery grip and a 100-400mm lens?
REUEL K  The strap can go as short as about three inches. In order to get it looking tidy, I cut the straps short and melted back the edges to prevent fraying. The buckles are pretty sturdy and should support a good amount of weight. But they are small so I can't guarantee that it'll take all the weight you throw at it.
Karl P  Thanks, Reuel. I was thinking I'd want to do you what you did to shorten the straps, so you confirmed that. 3" sounds okay. Most of the time, if I'll be walking around much, I'll switch to my BlackRapid strap, which is 100% secure and trustworthy, as well as easy on the neck. If I happen to use the normal strap with the adapters, I'll plan to keep a hand on the camera/lens as much as possible.

Shopper  Do you have a picture of the side that attaches to the camera?
THOMAS G  This is the side that attaches to the camera. Your original strap goes through the loop of the buckle on the left.
