• Strengthened to withstand greater clamping pressure than any other clamp of its kind, it can now be effective in even more uses. The protective pads in the jaws have been reformulated for better gripping action. Because of its superior strength several new attachments have been added.

I use this to clamp my Manfroto 244 N arm, which holds my 7" HD monitor to my camera set up. It is strong and durable and allows multiple attachment options. The only down side to the clamp is one of the knobs loosens up fairly easily but I can work around that. I attribute that loosening to the fact that I purchased a used Mafer and it has seen a lot of use. Over all it works well.
The Matthews Super Clamp was just a clamp. nice silver color, but was definitely not as tight on my C-Stand as I needed to hold without using a pair of pliers to tighten it. The thumb screw is hard to turn and is small. Like something from a local hardware store. Under a moderate load it did slip down the pole of my C-Stand. I must say I was a little taken a back as I have most recently purchased a Matthews large Rolling Stand, which was of excellent build quality with out any compromise. I was on a major shoot when the Matthews Super Clamp was not up to task, trust me, putting down my camera to look for auto tools to secure a Super Clamp was not what I needed to be doing. Unfortunately in the case of the Matthews Super ClampI I had to send it back to Adorama. I reordered a replacement a really good Super Clamp by Manfrotto, which does have a handle built in to the design to fully tighten it with out any other tools and was comparable in cost.
