Okay, but not really necessary

Convenient to keep attached to my computer; the USB cable that comes with the Shuffle is very short and not as convenient to use. The device charges the Shuffle in the hotsync mode; I haven't been able to get it to charge in the Charge mode. Also, need to disable the computer's automatic sleep function when charging. I do like that it keeps the Shuffle on my desk rather than dangling out of the wall.
