Excellent filter for Nikkor lenses

I'm a nature photographer, and some times the colors change in the picture when an UV filter is used (flowers, the sky, etc)... Sometimes I want that doesn't happen, so I bought this filter. This is an excellent filter for genuine Nikon lenses. I'm happy with the purchase because it fits with my AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm DX lens. This Nikon filter is very clear and I haven't noticed any difference in overall picture quality. In addition, it's a very good protection for my lenses. Keep in mind that...

I use this filter as a protector for my precious lens. Nikon has always produced professional grade filters and this is no exception

Top quality, although expensive

By

from Kent, WA  -  Photo Enthusiast

Thought about buying B+W but went with Nikon. Almost can't see the filter glass, indicative of excellent multi-coating. Purchased for Nikon 70-300mm VR zoom on a D7100. Fits perfectly, front threading fits the lens cap and it clears the lens hood. Expensive, but a lot cheaper to replace than a lens. Tip: To minimize sticking with either a new filter or new lens, tighten and loosen a few times when you first put it on.

I placed this on my Nikkor from day one to protect it. For the purpose of lens protection there is no better choice. The product is well-constructed, easy to install, crystal clear, unobtrusive and effective.

Great Product...

By

from San Diego  -  Photo Enthusiast

I bought this product to protect the front element on my nikon 28mm 1.8g and it does just that without affecting the photos at all. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this filter again if i needed it for another lens.

Does what it should

By

from Alexandria VA  -  Photo Enthusiast

Since modern sensors are not sensitive to UV like film, I decided to switch to clear glass filters for all of my lenses. I have both Nikon and B+W filters and both are of the same quality IMHO.

Threads on smoothly. Nikon lens cap works perfectly. What else to protect a Nikkor?

It does its job

The first thing I purchase for every new lens I buy is a Nikon Clear filter for protection. Why spend tons of money on gear and not protect your investment for such a small cost relative to replacing a broken lens.
