Norman Challence

Location events, Ballrooms, outdoor harsh sun, Valuable time lost in low light, because of the lack of connecting ( Dots )on the batt.post and the wire to the flash head. The built in ( pocket wizard ) in the flash head does not always trigger. The dome diffuser that came with the flash head did not fit. ( Too Loose ) The bracket that allows you to mount the battery to a lite pole can not be ordered. B&H say's " discontinued " The rivited screws that holds the battery to the strap, are poorly designed and the weight of the battery will eventually break ,when carrying. With carefull handiling the flash head develope an electrical short. The lady at Norman was very professional and the " fix " was quick, although I never got back the original box and packageing that came with the unit with the bar code. I double packed the unit in the original purchased box, so that the original box was not damaged. They told me that they " for some unexplained reason " threw out the original box with the bar code.

About Norman A400BR-m

Norman Battery Porable Kits are now available with lampheads that include built-in PocketWizard Radio Transceivers. You can now trip single or multiple remote flash systems without the hassle of trip cords or photo eyes. This sytem can be set to operate from any channel selected on your PocketWizard transmitter, and the Transceiver sends confirmation whenever a signal is received.

Able to deliver up to 400 watt-seconds of power, the Norman A400B-M is Norman's most popular Battery Portable system. Designed for the professional, the 400B-M is built tough for many years of hard use. And all Norman Battery Portable systems can be charged from 115 or 230 VAC and are CE tested for assignments almost anywhere.

This A400BM-R modeling light version kit includes the P400B Power Supply with contour shoulder strap, a LH52K-MLR Lamphead which now includes the built-in PocketWizard Radio Transceiver, with modeling lamp circuit and a 2D-ML reflector with a 50 watt quartz modeling lamp. two B5122 Batteries, SC Super Charger and all related cables.

As part of the Series 500 equipment line, the A400BM-R can be used with a wide assortment of accessory items.
