About Novatron M300

The M300 Monolight has two power ranges of 150 and 300 watt-seconds of variable power. It features all the same controls found in the Novatron Power Packs except the power and modeling light controls are variable.

The modeling light switch permits constant full modeling light output at any power setting or the choice to have the modeling light "Track" with the flash power selection. Choosing different power settings while in the "Track" mode automatically changes the modeling light output when different flash power settings are chosen.

The M300 includes an internal slave triggering device that can be switched on or off. No added wires are needed while using the slave function when the main light source is a Power Pack or when you are shooting with multiple Monolights.

It comes equipped with a plug-in type glass encapsulated flash tube that is color corrected to 5500'K (daylight film balanced), a 150 watt halogen modeling lamp, 18' power cord, 2032 Reflector, and a mounting bracket. This bracket also has a universal adapter base which allows it to mount to either a standard 5/8'' stud or a smaller 3/8'' tube/stud.

FLASH TUBE NOTE: The F0005 plug-in style flashtube has been revised and the power ratings have been upgraded for compatibility with a future product. The older style plug-in flash tubes have a solid glass outer envelope and have a maximum power rating of 700 watt-secs. The ventilated design (see F0005) is rated at 1000 watt-secs.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
GENA S  I chose these for their reputation for quality. The only thing I don't like is the noise. They sound like an airplane about to take off. But they fire great and have had no problems.
Shopper  I am having trouble using the optical slave on my novatron kit M300/M500 when using the Nikon system. It may be me, but I put my camera in commander mode and the strobes go off but not in sync with when I need them to. Am I doing something obviously wrong (for example the CLS system has the 'eye' that you have to aim towards the light) or is their a way to sync these with a nikon camera wirelessly more effectively? Any help you can provide would be great.
the t  The mono is triggering on the preflash and not when the flash is expected to go off. There is no CLS capabilities in the monoflash but the sensor pickes up the preflash and triggers from the light.
