The Oki Data C831n Color Digital Printer was purchased for my wife's studio. She is an encaustic artist and one of the techniques she uses is called Image transfer. We were using Kinko's to print out the tabloid size prints she needed, but that limited her control over most aspects of the printed image. We also experienced different results, sometimes images that are unsuitable and unusable, from different printers that they use to print those images, a waste of time and money. The Oki Data C831N produces excellent, reliable results for the encaustic transfers as well as tabloid size printouts of stained glass patterns for my own studio. It also produced excellent results printing 8"x8" pages for a 2017 calendar highlighting encaustic art. The high quality Tabloid size print capability at a price that puts it way ahead of it's competition.
