The Orion EagleEye 8x32 Wide-Angle Monocular is the perfect portable spotting scope. It has the field of view (7.8-degree) of a big binocular, a long eye relief of 18mm (great for eyeglass wearers) and an incredible near focus of 2' - that's just about arm's length. Both the 32mm two-element objective and four-element 3/4" eye lens are fully multi-coated for maximum image brightness and contrast.

The EagleEye's 8x magnification is suitable for birding, nature study, or reconnoitering a hiking trail. And at less than half the weight (6.2 oz.) and size of binoculars of similar aperture, it's both portable and packable. It includes lens caps, neck string and a soft belt case.
