Questions about this item:

brian p  Does this attach to a camera t ring and go over the eyepiece of a telescope lens?
GREGG V  The thread pictured is not a T-Ring thread. This adapter replaces the focuser back (eyepiece holder) on the focus tube on Orion Crayford-style focusers, usually found only on Newtonian reflectors. If you have an Orion (or other Synta-manufactured) telescope with a 2" Crayford-style focuser this adapter replaces the existing eyepiece holder. The original is unscrewed to reveal threads in the ID of the focus tube. This adapter then threads directly onto the focus tube, thus increasing the focus tube's overall length. This is convenient for direct viewing with many 2" eyepieces only, without the need for an extension tube. It is not intended for use with photography, nor will it fit the newer dual-speed Orion focusers.
