Opticstar 1.25" Light Splitter, Splits Light Beam in Two 50:50

The Opticstar 1.25" Light Splitter prism diagonal can be used to track or auto-guide and image at the same time. It greatly helps to centre and focus objects to be imaged with a CCD imager or film camera.

The incoming light is split equally (50:50) as it passes through the prism with half of the light transmitted to the guider eyepiece, the other half to the imaging camera.

The Light Splitter will accept standard 1.25" nosepieces and has a 1.25" nosepiece that will fit into standard 1.25" telescope drawtubes. In a standard configuration the Light Splitter can be used with a guide camera and imaging camera at the same time.
