this is a nice umbrella,it gives a nice warm hue to portraits. as far as the removable black cover goes it has a bit to be desired. to get the cover off you have to cut each thread to the spokes,to reinstall you would have to sew them back on, however there is not much need to remove it. a 60" umbrella is not very practical to use as a shoot thru. interfit products are usually very good quality.

jeff k  To light up this 60" umbrella properly using speedlights how many would I use? I am currently working with a couple 580exII's and some yongnuo 560III's. Also, what's the advantage/disadvantage to the silver/gold combo?
Garnett G  I don't use mine with speedlights....I use a monolight that's 320 watt seconds (set to half power) and I cover it with a diffuser to soften the light even more. If I were to use speedlights, I most certainly would use two of them, set at half power. In theory you would get a better, and more even, light distribution that way. The other advantage is that you would cut down on recycling time.
