Review Summary
A snoot controls the shape of your light output. When placed in front of your light source it will result in a small circle of light. The size of the circle of light is determined by the snoot opening, its length, and the distance from your subject.
As an artist in lighting, "paint" your light with your photographic "brush", or sculpturer's "knife & chisel" by using snoots, barndoor's, color filters, and honeycomb grids as tools to effectively shape your lighting.
