About Panasonic AWRP50N

The Panasonic AW-RP50 Sub-Compact Remote Camera Controller unit can control up to one hundred AW-HE50 series cameras via IP and up to five Panasonic cameras and pan-tilt heads using RS-422 serial control. PTZ Controller goes in Church

By

from Durham, NC  -  Power User

This remote controller is paired with a Panasonic AW-HE120 PTZ HD camera. Unit has small footprint and handles the task well. Allows user to set ten camera position presets to quickly get to a shot. Nice feature is the speed control for pans and tilts. You can control the speed with the joystick by how far one pushes it but it is a great option to set the speed to slow for an elegant pan and not have to worry about holding the joystick in exactly the right spot. Unit appears sturdy and well constructed if not stylish. This unit is located in a control booth in the rear of the balcony of a church and controls a camera at the alter rail. Connect via Cat 5 or 6 with a LAN type connecter on both ends. Camera controls are immediate and responsive even at that distance.
