No good in professional environment
Unit is not designed/made well enough for professional use. First, the cold shoe is flimsy & weak, it simply is not strong enough to hold an expensive flash. This needs replaced, there are good replacement shoes at this vendors site. But do not trust your flash with the shoe that comes with it. Secondly, it is VERY cumbersome. When you rotate the flash, you have to push a spring loaded button. When you want to rotate it back - you have to push a spring loaded button. The same goes for rotating the camera body. VERY cumbersome & not good for fast moving events such as a wedding. The bracket is durable (except cold shoe) & has many little features that are nice - mine had a level & extra 1/4 inch bushings with it - they always come in handy. I actually modified this bracket & now use it to hold lights for a small video camera. It works much better for this application than as a camera bracket for me. It is very easily modified. I wouldn't recommend this product for it's intended purpose in a professional environment. However, it has the potential for many other uses in those situations that need something 'rigged up' to achieve your result. It is very compact & fits into a video bag without much bulk when folded.
