The Paglight's unique patented design makes it the coolest running & most versatile camera light in the business. The plug-in lampholder system enables the Paglight to be the first camera light that will work as either halogen or metal-halide arc.
A further advantage of the Paglight system is that one is able to purchase a 'basic' model, comprising the Paglight & a standard halogen lampholder, & then add components, such as the PowerArc, & build the ultimate ENG lighting kit.• There are 4 plug-in lampholder options available:
• Standard Halogen
• PowerMax Control/VariLux
These interchangeable units fit into the back of the lamp body & are locked inposition. A release button enables them to be quickly & easily withdrawn. Variants of wattage & unit type can now be exchanged without the need to handle the lamp, minimising the risk of damage.
A selection of lampholders can be stowed in the camera bag or kit case, each having its own protector, which is moulded in high-strength, heat-resistant polymer. Colour-coded wattage label kits are available for easy identification.
Paglight is the coolest running light in the business Paglight is constructed principally from a specially developed glass-reinforced engineering polymer.
The advantages of this material are its high strength, impact resistance & temperature stability. Using this modern material we were able to create an aesthetically pleasing design which is also functional & light in weight.
The lamp head is designed around a clever heat dissipation system, which allows external parts of the light to operate at a far lower temperature than the lights of other manufacturers. Even at peak running temperature the Paglight is comfortable to handle.
This is achieved by a series of chambers & ventilation channels. The quick-change, plug-in lampholders form part of this unique heat dissipation system.
Paglight incorporates a focusing mechanism that moves the position of the light source within the reflector. Focusing is provided by a lever on each side of the body, & is continuously variable from narrow to wide angle, thereby increasing or decreasing intensity.
An integral part of the lamp head is its base support system. This multidirectional mounting allows the light to be adjusted vertically through 100deg. or horizontally through 180deg. The desired position can be maintained by tightening and locking the lever arm on the side of the lamp base.
