The Pag Paglight Camera Light with LED Dimmer Unit (XLR4 Connector) has a revolutionary patented design which allows a range of professional lighting technologies to be used with one lamp head. Interchangeable LED, tungsten halogen or HMI arc lighting modules, plug into the back of the reflector housing. They can be hot-swapped quickly and safely, in a matter of seconds. Paglight is the only broadcast light with this feature, providing you with the correct lighting technology for any professional situation.
The Paglight LED has an impressive light intensity over distance in comparison to other LED lights. Output measures 900 lux at 2m, the equivalent of 50W halogen. Pag has achieved this by focusing the output of the emitters using an integrated lens and by positioning the LED module within the Paglight reflector. The results are a testament to Paglight's superior optical design.
Power consumption is low, at only 11W, which is a significantly smaller load on the camera battery than the equivalent halogen option.
The bright white daylight balanced output is soft and even. Intensity can be controlled using the dimming facility incorporated in the LED module. The Paglight lamp head incorporates a spot to flood feature for additional control, a feature not commonly found in camera top-lights.
The light is designed to be cool-running at all times and easy to handle. The lamp body has a multi-directional mounting and may be adjusted vertically and horizontally. The desired position can be maintained by a locking lever situated on the side of the light base.
Paglight is supplied with a detachable hot-shoe Power Base that enables you to quickly attach the light to the camera and remove it after shooting, leaving the power connection in place. This model incorporates a Power Base that has a cable length of 1.5m, terminated with an XLR4 plug, for connection to the output provided on a Pagbelt NMH battery belt. Paglight can be mounted to the camera using the 1/4" stud adaptor or the camera shoe plate supplied with the light.
