The Phottix BG-D5000 Battery Grip with Vertical Button is designed for use with Nikon D5000 DSLR. The grip takes one or two EN-EL9a batteries only. It is especially suitable for shooting in a large quantity or low temperatures environment. It also includes a vertical-grip shutter-release button to enable shooting in the same fashion as a horizontal grip.
