I use these for events and some outside shooting and they work great. These flash triggers are very user friendly very easy to use. I was trying to decide between these and pocket wizard and I am glad I chose these, and the price was great. I would recommend these to anyone looking for flash triggers.

I originally bought this to trigger a Younguo flash, and was disappointed that I didnt do the research to find out the Odin was not compatible. At least in my case I half way solved the issue by just letting my Younguo trigger in slave 2 mode by letting it see my Canon 430 EXII. It is true that you cannot control the settings on the Younguo with the Odin Transmitter and you will have to manually change settings when there is a need to. I just usually put a small softbox over it with some nice looking gels and use it to add some drama to my backdrops...I guess the bottom line is, dont throw away your off brand flashes...if you get creative you can use them, even if it isnt perfect.

This is a great product! The build is good and it does exactly what I need it to do. I have used them a number of times now and they have given me great exposures. They fire every time, so I can focus on what I am shooting and not my equipment.

Was after a radio TTL remote trigger for field work with off camera softbox; unit allows you to remotly change flash zoom triggers and intensity; this is not possible with trigger only remotes; only draw back seems to be full compatibilty with non Canon brand flashes; cannot get all functions to work on a Metz 58 AF-2 flash with Canon 5D2 (all with latest firmware); while triggering works 100%, for some reason exposure is totally missed -total fail- intermittantly for 7 in 10 shoots in TTL; flash operating mode is not synchronised correctly with camera; control of same flash directly on camera works; will borrow a Canon OEM flash to re-test radio link; manual says that issues with third party flashes will not be supported. (somewhat ironic as it is a third party product itself)

I recently picked up this Wireless Flash Trigger, and it is so simple to use. I haven't looked at the manual (software only) but was up and running with this thing in less than a minute after the first use. It's as simple as connecting the transmitter to your camera and connecting the flash to the receiver then power everything up. Works great outdoors. There are 3 groups which can be mixed (manual and TTL). The interface on the transmitter is simple and easy to understand, unlike the cryptic codes on my 580ex II. I also like that there is a dedicated button for enabling/disabling High Speed Synch. Check out YouTube videos and other web reviews for more details. Before getting this I was considering to get a Pocket Wizard or RadioPopper, but I find that my needs are well covered with this system.

The Phottix Odin Wireless TTL Flash Trigger for Canon TX/RX Set is compatible with Phottix Strato 4-in1 and Phottix Strato II Multi 5-in-1 Wireless Triggers. Current Phottix users will have no problem adding the Odin to their current triggering systems. As the world of cameras and flashes is always changing the Phottix Odin system can be upgraded when needed using the built-in USB ports.
