About Phottix

The Phottix Odin TTL Flash Trigger & Receiver Set consists of an on-camera transmitter and control unit (TCU) and receiver units for compatible hot shoe flashes. The Odin offers photographers four wireless channels and three flash control group designations. Flashes can be controlled in TTL or manual mode, or A: B ratio mode with EV +/- adjustments of three stops.

What makes the Phottix Odin unique is the ability to designate groups in TTL/Mixed mode. Individual groups, A, B, C, can also be controlled in TTL mode with EV +/- adjustments. Groups can also be set to Manual mode, adjusting power levels remotely in 1/3 stop increments, or turned off.

The Phottix Odin TTL Flash Trigger & Receiver Set is backward-compatible with Phottix Strato 4-in-1 and Phottix Strato II Multi 5-in-1 Wireless Triggers. Current Phottix users will have no problem adding the Odin to their systems. As the world of cameras and flashes are always changing the Phottix Odin system can be upgraded when needed using the built-in USB ports.

Questions about this item:

Rob H  The Phottix website says the D70/s is NOT compatible. Specs here say it is. Can anyone confirm whether or not D70 actually works?
HENRY D  Hello Robert, The Plus III unit should work with any came that has a hot shoe.
soriano.covello s  I want to know if this radio sync at high speed with elinchrom products, like bxri, quadra, I know these two have a short flash duration. If this radio doesnt work which one do?
Andrew R  Unfortunately, Phottix does not specify. The instruction manual indicates that High Speed Sync is available when used with camera and flash units that are HSS compatible (they do not test 3rd party flash units for compatibility). There are radio triggers available from other makers that offer high speed sync, but those tend to max out at 1/250sec.
Shopper  Is the LCD display lighted? I do a fair amount of night photography.
TIMOTHY R  the Phottix Odin trigger for the Sony display is lighted.
