Questions about this item:

TOM C  Just to verify, these do work with the a99? And full features, TTL and all? Looks like they have the traditional Sony shoe, so you need the adapter that came with the 99 you're good to go? I know this question was asked, just double checking before I purchase. Thanks, Tom
STEPHEN G  Yes, it works great on the A99. TTL, Manual, HSS...
Ronald P  I currently Use Quantum Radio Slaves which are bulky is the Phottix easier to use and easy to hookup over the Quantum Radio Slaves?
THOMAS D  Hi, I'm what you would call an enthusiast photographer with great equipment and limited talent. I have never used the Quantum Radio units but I can say that I have been very happy with the Phottix system. It seems ergonomic, compact and easy to set up. My only complaint is trying to set up the piece that goes to the flash and then when you go to mount it in the softbox light that I have it doesn't quite fit right. I can still make it work but it's a bit awkward. I'm not sure if it is a problem with all soft boxes or just the one I have.
LAURA H  Will this work with the Sony A99 that has no built in flash? I want to be able to use the 58 and 60 Sony flashes off camera. What else will I need to purchase? Thank you!
STEPHEN G  I use it on my A99 and it works great. I have tried the Sony 43AM, Polaroid Studio series and a 20 year old Promaster 7000 (Promaster works on manual only-overexposes bigtime on TTL) and everything seems to work just fine. I haven't done a shoot with them yet but I have tested them in all modes and they respond appropriately. Love this system! Excited to see how they perform during the upcoming Hearts Apart shoot on the 17th. :0) I also tried them on my A65 but didn't test as much as on the A99. There is nothing else to purchase. Now you can put them in the Apollo 43" or the JS 50" and won't need to keep tearing the front diffuser open everytime you want to change a setting. Oh, and the flash will NOT go to sleep as long as you keep the power on-that was a problem I had with other triggers and it drove me mad! No line of sight problems, no accessibility problems and no falling asleep! I don't see how it could get better than this!
