This worked great with my Canon 7D with a 430EXII and 580EX. Easy to set up. I did it without directions. Easy to shoot and adjust TTL or Manual modes, or a combination of both. This fired EVERY single time at studio distances. I was almost set on Pocket Wizards but the same setup would have cost me about three hundred and fifty dollars more (3 units and AC controller). The PW setup has a flash mount on the top but when you add the AC controller you are back even again. Again, very reliable with no radio noise issues. The units included AA batteries (common batteries!), slave cables (not needed for my Canon speedlites) and USB cable for future updates. Construction is moderately hard plastic but I wouldn't want to test it on concrete...of course I wouldn't want to drop any of my photo gear!

Only one of the two receivers works. I do not know if I will try this prodcut again.

I've always used Impact radio slaves which are fully manual controls. When I upgraded to the Phottix Odin system it made the difference of night and day. To be able to control an off camera flash right from the camera saves so much time not having to fiddle with the power settings. I haven't used the system for very long so I can not attest to the longevity of Phottix products but I can say they are built well. In my opinion Phottix has a better system than the Pocket Wizard. PW does not offer the ability to control off camera lights. That alone is worth the switch.

This is an excellent product, 100% reliable especially for Portrait and special events such as Weddings and Corporate events; I highly recommend this product.

It works exactly as advertised! Finally a wireless TTL that works like it should!! I had been using the FlexTT5 but it left me frustrated at times when it wouldn't work or exposure was off. With the Odin units, it worked right out the box, every time!

The Phottix Odin TTL Flash Trigger for Canon (2 Receivers) consists of an on-camera transmitter and control unit (TCU) and receiver units for compatible hot shoe flashes. The Odin offers photographers four wireless channels and three flash control group designations. Flashes can be controlled in TTL ratio modes A:B with EV +/- adjustments of three stops.
What makes the Phottix Odin unique is the ability to designate groups in TTL/Mixed mode. Individual groups, A, B, C, can also be controlled in TTL mode with EV +/- adjustments. Groups can also be set to Manual mode, adjusting power levels remotely, or turned off.
The four-channel, 2.4 GHz, transmitter and receiver units work at ranges of more than 100 meters and accept AA batteries. Phottix Odin TTL Flash Trigger sets with a TCU and Receiver will be available, as will as individual receivers.
