I used this umbrella on a photo shoot in the outdoors which was not wise and a gust of wind blew it down on the pavement with gravel. I survived the fall with just two short tears approx. 25mm long and 2 bent spokes. I had gently bent the spokes back into their original position and was good to go and it is usable even now. The material is nice and not flimsy which is why the tears aren't any larger. I plan to buy another but wil not use it where it can be blown down again.

I use this umbrella for portrait exclusively. I certainly like the softness of light it produces.
