About ProMediaGear GT1

The ProMediaGear GT1 converts your ball head into a gimbal head. It is a more compact and lighter alternative to the Katana Gimbal Head. It attaches via Arca-Swiss style adapter (already included) in vertical or horizontal fashion (to better balance the weight center point).

If you don't have an Arca-Swiss ball head (or compatible) then you can use the 1/4inch20 threads inside the mounting foot to mount your quick release plate. There are total of 3 1/4inch-20 threads on the foot giving you ultimate flexibility. Your lens has to be equipped with a compatible Arca style plate and to mount the lens you simply slide it into the clamp adjust balance and lock it down tightly.

ProMediaGear GT1 Features

Questions about this item:

Shopper  What is the max weight the GT1 can hold?
LOREN B  The max weight will be determined by the tripod. The tripod will tip over long before this extender bends. I don't think that I could do pull-ups on it, but it's very strong.
MMK K  I have a Nikon D7000 with a Sigma 50-500mm lens. USe Giotti MH-1000 on a decent tripod. Can anyone tell me how to mount the GT1 onto a non-arca style QR? It says it here, on Adorama, but I don't understand how to do it. Thanks!
Tom F  You could just screw in QR plate from Giottos into GT1-Tomahawk. It can be screwed into vertical or horizontal plane. The bottom mounting surfaces have 1/4in-20 standard threads.
