The end nut that holds the outer black fabric broke, I had to use crazy glue but it broke again. I like the light I get so much that I use it like that but I have to be very careful to keep the outer fabric from comming off.

Torn threads in the suspension of the white lining. I only opened this two times and noted that the white thread that suspends the liner to the metal ribs, had pulled out of the fabric, oddly near the "Made in China" tag was located. Also noted the curved shaft on this purchase. Photogenic better check their quality control. there are issues here...

I reinforced the shaft with a fiberglass shaft. I purchased a 48" reflective driveway marker (Hillman) at my local bigbox hardware. It has a 1/4" outside diameter. Use pliers to carefully remove the nub on the umbrella. I then had to use a 1/4" drill bit to in the shaft (On low speed) to remove some dried glue. Shove fiberglass shaft all the way in and mark the end. Remove and cut FG shaft 3/16 short (To accommodate the nub). Insert FG shaft back in umbrella shaft (You will need to use the drill bit or the leftover FG shaft to push shaft in. Replace nub. Wah-lah - reinforced shaft.

The patented Eclipse design is noted for the ability to provide cleaner, smoother highlights and catchlights compared to ordinary bounce umbrellas. All the bright metal exposed ribs of a normal umbrella construction are covered on the Eclipse umbrella. The ECP60 measures 60" over its curve. The flat-panel interior design is manufactured with a reflective color-neutral white material.
The PLUS cover is aremovable black-with-bonded-silver lining that's designed to reflect an extra stop of light. This increase in bounced soft-light allows placement slightly farther from your subject. The cover can be removed if desired, allowing the umbrella to be used as a shoot-through translucent diffuser.
