Best light period!

By

from Fargo, ND  -  Professional

I worked as a second shooter using the PL-2500 monolights and I am truly impressed by the "built like a tank" feel to these series of lights. I now have my own business and purchased the Solair series light, I wanted the best with no regrets, period. Combined with the Sekonic L-358 w/transmitter module and the pocket wizard system, you will truly have what it takes to get the job done. The only complaint I had is that the small paper clip antennna is buried inside the handle on the back and would not pick up the Sekonic's trigger signal with a medium softbox attached due to the shielding effect of the softbox interior. I took out the antenna and coupled the coax to the sync jack to add external antenna capability using a cut up sync cord with 1/4" plug, it couldn't work better.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  does the pocket wizard trigger work the TTL from a canon ttl mine1?
Andrew R  It is doubtful. The power output settings on most monolights is set manually. TTL communication is usually limited to speedlights.
