Shopper  Is the padding in this case similar to the padding in the D1 kit cases? Also, are the lights stored vertically or horizontally?
PETER M  Yes, I would say the material is similar to that of the D1 cases, however, in the D1 cases the lights sit in a foam box inside the case. The lights do not sit in a foam in this case. The lights are stored in about a 30 degree angle from the vertical. Both lights fit but it is a tight fit. This is a good case to transport two D1s to and from location as it's small and light. If you need to store just one D1 may want to consider the new B1 case that is scheduled to be available in mid December. Profoto states that it will fit both the B1 and D1 heads.
