Too Hard to Use

The changing of the glass should be a simple procedure. I had to call Profoto customer service to find out how to remove the current glass and replace it with the one I bought. The procedure is difficult and the risk of cracking the flash tube on the inside is great. I would recommend that you have certified professional do the change, otherwise you may break your flash tube, which is expensive to replace.

About Profoto Glass Plate

The Profoto 300K Glass Plate for D1 Monolight lowers (warms) the color temperature of the light emitted by the D1 by 300 Degree K. It approximates the use of an 81A filter on a camera lens. Use it if the color temperature of the D1 is too blue for your preference or assignment requirements. This glass plate is held by 3 clips that are part of the D1; no extra holder is needed for installation.
