About ProOptic

UV Filter
Absorbs the ultraviolet rays which often makes outdoor photographs hazy and indistinct. A multi-purpose filter for color as well as black and white films. Also serves as a permanent lens protector.

Pro Optic Pro Digital Multi Coated Filters are renowned for their ability to minimize reflection and reduces flare and ghosting. The result is an average light transmission of over 97%, giving sharp contrast and well balanced color. Pro Optic Pro Digital Multi Coated filters are recommended for enhancing the performance of today's multicoated lenses.

Circular Polarizer
Reduces glare when shooting metallic surfaces, glass, snow and water surfaces.

In outdoor shooting, the filter can deal effectively with light reflected on steam or airborne dust particles.

You can monitor the changes at different angles through the viewfinder as you rotate this filter.

Neutral Density ND2X
Neutral Density filters evenly reduce the amount of light passing thru the lens without effecting color.

Ideal for reducing bright light in large aperture situations when a narrow depth is field is needed.

Allows for slower shutter speeds when blurring or showing of movement is desired.

Allows balancing of exposure to highlight a key subject.

Lets you use higher speed films in bright light.

(2X) Reduces the light one f-stop.

I use these filters to create changes in my images with different lenses. For the price the Pro Optic filter kit assures me quality and pro results in my images. I have not found any "cons" with this product.

Very good

I find the polarizer to benefit some of the pictures taken in mid day sun. It seems to take the glint off of slick shiny objects. The UV is my standard lens protection.

Filter set - good value, practical

By

from Florida  -  Photo Enthusiast

I have two lenses that use 52mm filters; the 3-filter set is very practical: UV for everyday use (enhanced images, lens protection; polarizer to soften the effects of bright lights and shinny objects; ND for special lighting situations. The set filled a need until I acquire other specialized filters.

Does What it Claims

By

from Hartford, SD  -  Photo Enthusiast

I bought this set to compliment me purchase of a Nikon d5100. It functions as stated, and I will make use of the UV to protect my added purchase of a Nikon 55 to 200 VR lens. I'm satisfied that my lenses are protected and that the glass is good, and that I have the added use of the polarizer and the ND2. This was good deal.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
GAIL G  this came with a kit. I bought better filters, [Hoya HD2 and Nikon]
Shopper  Will these filters fit any Nikon lens?
RUSSELL W  Like everything, it depends: 1. If the lens is a 52 mm lens to start, and it has a screw thread on its outer lens, it should work. 2. If the lens is not a 52mm lens, then a step up adapter is needed. Check your lens to see if allows a 52mm screw in connection on its outer edge, or a possible xx adapter to 52mm.
jonas s  Hi please help me, I want to know about this product. How well did it work? Were you happy with it? Is it multicoated? Thanks you
