Why do you hunt A library couldn't cover all the reasons, but it usually boils down to two: 1. to take an animal, and 2. to enjoy the outdoors. However, sometimes the conditions don't cooperate.

That is where the Lightseeker-XL rifle scopes come in. The Lightseeker line of rifle scopes, long known for their extreme brightness, have been redesigned and improved so they fit an even wider range of shooting needs.
Due to customer demand, these scopes have been redesigned with the turrets centered on the main tube. They have maintained the legendary optical quality Pentax is known for precision ground lenses that use the Super-Multi-Layer coating process on every surface throughout the optical system.
They also use larger erector lenses than conventional rifle scope designs letting the Lightseeker-XL give a brighter image than the competition. The Lightseeker-XL rifle scopes incorporate European sytle, quick focus eyepieces and are also some of the toughest scopes around with exceptionally thick tube walls and extremely durable reticles.
With PENTAX you'll be up and out shooting earlier, and you'll stay out later - right up to the legal limits. Successful hunting means a bright scope for fast target acquisition, even in the toughest light conditions.
PENTAX's internal lenses are up to 40% larger than the competition. PentaBright means light - lots of light. Plus lightweight, one piece, aircraft aluminum construction and quick focus European style eyepieces make them tough and fast.
The Ballistic Plex Reticle (tm) is a copyrighted design on the lower vertical crosshair that compensates for bullet drop. The Ballistic Plex reticle is set to provide dead-on aiming from 100 yards to 500 yards for many of the most common hunting cartridges.
The complex science of optics requires attention to the type and quality of glass, design and construction, eye relief, tube alignment, sealing against moisture, and user comfort. No one knows optics better than Pentax. Pentax pioneered multi-layer lens coatings which greatly increase light transmission.
