Sadly and unfortunately disappointed

I do give it 1 star simply because it does have strings. In tune, it doesn't sound horrific. I purchased this for my son who loves to play along with me. He's got a full size guitar he plucks, but I really wanted something toddler size. The price is what drew me to this particular model. I was hoping that it was at least a hair above what would be just a toy. Being a musician, I understand that you really get what you pay for, especially with acoustic instruments. My thought was that it was just a small Uke. Couldn't be that bad. I was wrong. First thing was that the nut on it was not even glued. This actually turned out to be a good thing, because I had to remove it and trim it down because it was almost 1/4" too wide for the neck. It was sticking out on both sides. You have to be careful with the frets since they're sharp on the edges. My dreams of maybe keeping it tuned and actually playing it a little bit are dashed. Not all of the accessories were there either. It turns out that it will be a toss around toy. A clip here and a file there and I shouldn't have to worry too much about my boy damaging himself with it. Anyway, go ahead and spend a little more cash and get some quality. It wasn't even worth me packing it up and paying for shipping it back. I'll just take the loss.
