I got the filter for my 16-35mm lens. I was a little disappointed when I saw the filter was made in Japan, since I wasn't sure if it was made from Schott glass. Fortunately, the pictures taken are excellent, super crip, and extremely detailed. For me, that means the filter's glass and coatings have an amazing quality. The filter is thin but has a solid feel due to its metal rim. It fits perfectly just right on my 16-35mm lens... neither loose nor tight. And the front lens cap fits easily on the filter front.

I needed a UV filter for my canon 16-35 2.8 II lens that did not cause vignetting. A filter is needed with this lens to complete the weather seal. The B&W slim filter fitted the bill, but did not fit the canon lens cap. I decided on the Rodenstock because it had a thinner glass, slim filter that could fit the canon lens cap.
