Effective and lightweight bullhead

I use this ballhead on both a monopod and travel tripod. Its extremely lightweight, yet locks solidly, even with a telephoto lens mounted upon it. I use it in combination with an Acra Swiss style clamp for secure quick connect to all my camera bodies, long lens mounts and accessories. The knob has a nice range of motion to create gradual tension for controlled variable friction. It adds only three inches to the folded length of my monopod or tripod.

The Redged R-0 Professional Ball Head is a compact, lightweight ball head that supports up to 8.8 lb of gear. Its single-action knob allows you to unlock all axes of ball movement in one fell swoop, so you can quickly orient your camera properly, retighten the knob and return to shooting. The R-0 head features a 1/4"-20 screw for attaching most cameras or quick-release assemblies (not included). A slot allows you to tilt your camera 90Deg. to portrait orientation.
