I bought this tripod instead of the Induro because it was on sale for half price, big mistake. At first look this seemed like a terrific tripod but when I took it out in the field I found otherwise. The top plate where you screw the ball head kept unscrewing itself from the center column, it had no lock screw for the ball head so that kept loosening also. The legs would also frequently unlock themselves. If Redged would fix these problems they would have a good product, but why not just buy the Induro 214 for the same price and at the same weight and avoid all these pitfalls? That's what I did.

I checked the high priced tripods and this one ticks off many of the boxes of the things they have without paying a high price. Light, steady, holds my camera and 300mm f2.8 easily. I was pleasantly surprised.

This tripod is very light and stable. Seems to be well built. My only complaint, and it is a small one, that it doesn't have spiked feet.

I had just bought the Wimberly Gimbal tripod head and needed to purchase sturdy tripod legs for it. After browsing the internet for a month, I settled on this from Adorama. Just before purchasing it online I also called and spoke with someone from Adorama to talk about my choice and needs. The conversation confirmed that this would be the one. It arrived quickly and I'm really thrilled with it. It's sturdy and strong, works perfectly with the Gimbal head and has now been used on a few photo sessions - all outside on different terrains ( sand, gravel and hillside grass ). I would recommend this product.
