If you're thinking of purchasing this product, stop thinking about it. - You know it's a manual lens, and it works beautifully. Very smooth rotation. Auto-focus on a fixed focal length prime lens, is overkill. Take your time to further cultivate your view. - You know that it's the best priced 85mm lens on the market right now. The next one even used, will cost several hundred dollars more. Why spend $800+ on an 85mm fixed lens, when for $2-300 more, you can find a high-quality zoom lens? - For me, the only worry came from it being a brand I wasn't familiar with. I am familiar with it now, and quite happy with my purchase, by far. Mostly metal parts, including the F-mount. - If you don't mind adding like $50 more, get the focus chip. There's really nothing else to be concerned with. Stop thinking about it, and buy it. It'll be the best purchase you've made in awhile, especially if you're just beginning to invest in photography. (side-note. I give nothing a full 5-stars, unless it's a small number of items being judged.)
