A fun manual lens

By

The inexpensive pricetag allows most shooters to enjoy the telephoto experience. Its not the sharpest, but it does get you closer to your subject to make for some fun imagery. A little work in post and you'll have a usable image.

Nice Lens -

By

Nice lens for price. It will do nicely for what intend - nature/wildlife photography. A bit heavy, so a tripod will be needed most often. Only complaint, it should be sold with a mandatory choice of adapter mount. Received the lens then realized even though I had searched using the following "mirror lens for Nikon D5200" the hiit appeared as if it were fully compatible with my camera

Great for the price

By

from Fort Myers, Fl  -  Semi-pro Photographer

We needed a 500mm lens for a video project where the camera stood a 50-50 chance of ending up in the water. I wasn't willing to risk a Canon lens (or a 5d camera) that cost several thousand dollars, but this $150 Rokinon on a Canon Rebel T2i did the job nicely. You have to work within its limitations (i.e., single aperture stop and lack of contrast), but we were able to fix everything in post-production. If you're someone who would only need a lens this long occasionally, it's a good buy.

Perfect addition

By

I bought this to compliment my 55-300 zoom. and I'm happy with the pictures. I have a Pond with trees on the other side, so a Tripod and this lens allows pictures of Birds landing in the Trees.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  will this work with a sony a58k?
Andrew R  Out of the box this lens does not fit any camera. You would need to install a T-mount (or T-ring)(not included) compatible with your camera's lens mount. For the Sony Alpha A-58 you'd need the following: http://www.adorama.com/PROLATSO.html
joseph w  will this lens work with a Nikon D5300. I realized the focus is manual, but does it connect with the metering system?
JOHN H  No, but the beauty of the digital D5300 is you can Bracket, then look at the settings of the best photo for your light, and continue. Also the manual focus and limited depth of field requires adjusting your view finder Diopter exactly. You will also need the adapter ring for Nikon.
John B  Will this lens fit Canon Rebel EOS T3 camera?
BENNET B  Fits fine on my Canon XSi with a T adapter, though 99% of the time I use it with my Sony NEX-3 ( better manual focus support ). The focus threads are very course and getting the focus just right takes time. Still a very good lens for the money.
