Allows attachment of lenses & other
I purchased this adaptor to attach a slide duplicator to my Konica Minolta 5D Digital Camera (predecessor to the Sony Alpha) and it works great.

Found the problem...
I took a very close look at my copy of this adapter and found the real problem. There's a very small screw located on the barrel of the adapter that prevented the adapter from twisting all the way. I took out the screw and all is well now. Weird.

Fits, but won't lock onto A-mount
Normally, the A-mount has a small pin on the camera that pops into a small hole on the lens (or adapter in this case) to lock the lens in place. That final "click" you hear when you mount a lens is the pin popping into place.
On my copy of this adapter the hole is too small so the pin doesn't fit, the lens doesn't lock. If I try to use the lens focus ring in a CCW direction the entire lens just rotates on the mount.
