It does the job!

If you have a Nikon camera with built-in commander mode for your pop-up flash, this adaptor is all you need to hold your RadioPopper PX Transmitter above the flash. It is totally made of plastic so you'll need to be careful where/how you store it as it would be very easy to break the appx 2" piece that extends from the camera hotshoe to the base of the adaptor. We experienced problems just in shipment from Adorama! Twice they were mailed in bubble envelopes and arrived broken. The 3rd time they were finally sent in a box with insulation and they arrived okay...so just be prepared!!

Questions about this item:

Shopper  I dont want front flash so my ques is, Does this stop the pop up flash from firing?
SANDRA C  Does your camera have a built in commander? If so, you would change the camera's Commander settings for internal flash to --. It will be used to transmit signal to external flash and have a very small amount of light but nothing like a regular flash or anything that will mess up your exposure. Radio Popper has a helpful video on their website.
Shopper  Will this flash adapter work with the Nikon D5100 or D5000?
BRYAN H  No. This item requires Commander Mode on the pop up flash to work properly. You will need a D7000 or better to work.
