Shooting a creative image or making the ultra wideangle picture The DCR-FE181PRO lens captures an amazing wideangle view of 180 degrees on diagonal lines. It stays in focus during the whole zooming when attached to the zoom lens of less than 4-time variation.
It's a completely new high definition lens made of the high index optical lens with a 4-group/5-element formula. The lens attaches direct on the Olympus E-10/E-20,E-20P,E-20N cameras.
There will be no reduction of light value when this conversion lens is attached on the camera's lens. An adapter ring RA6258 for 58mm filter size, RA6255 for 55mm filter size, RA6252 for 52mm filter size and a RA6243 for 43mm filter size are included with DCR-FE181PRO Fish-Eye lens.
DCR-FE181PRO is also suitable to 3-CCD chip or mega-pixel Digital Camcorders such as SONY HDR-FX7, HVR-V1, VX-2000, VX-1000, PD-150, PD-100, TRV-900,/950 Canon GL-1, XM-1/2. Magnification when used with camcorder: Nominal 0.24x, 0.22x/Diagonal, 0.3x/Horizontal(Average magnifications)
The DCR-FE181PRO full-frame (diagonal) fish-eye lens is designed to get a 180 degrees wide angle view suitable with as many as digital camera models available in the market and it may create a slight 'vignetting' at the corners of the picture captured with some camera models set at the widest position of the zoom lens.
If you do not like to have the 'vignetting' effect during picture taking, zoom the camera lens slightly towards telephoto side. 'Vignetting' means that the four corners or a corner of the picture is cut off or darkened slightly.
Depending upon the model of camera you use, the 'vignetting' effect will not appear at all even set at the widest range of the zoom lens.
All of Raynox conversion lenses are proudly made in Japan. At Raynox's wholly owned manufacturing subsidiary, every stage of production is rigorously checked and tested so that the lens elements compensate effectively for astigmatism, distortion and spherical aberration.... for an excellent image quality.
