Great CF card

This is a great card, I have two other Extreme III cards that I am very satisfied with and I can not believe how much faster this Extreme IV card writes my images. I just used this card on a trip to Colorado that we experienced both cold and hot temperatures and this cards performance was flawless. I do not believe in using a 4gb or an 8gb card because that is putting all of your eggs in one basket, so I use multiple cards and I have never had any problems with these SanDisk CF cards.

Simply the Best

These are not the cheapest cards available, however, they are some of the fastest. 40mb/s is approximately 260x, faster than most of what is currently available. They also are able to function in extended temperature ranges, which is great if you work in cold climates. If you're shooting a DSLR over about 8 megapixels, you should probably consider using a card capable of transfer speeds at 30-40 mb/s. This card does that. The reliability of SanDisk is a plus as well.

Reliable & Fast

Excellent product and just the right amount of storage. I use several of the 2 gig cards for onlocation work. don't want to put all my eggs in one basket with the 4, 8 0r 16 gig cards

Extreme IV is unbeatable

SanDisk products have always been superb in my experience. This Extreme IV card is FAST and TOUGH. I bought the FireWire reader with it to maximize transfer speeds to my computer. What I really love about the card is the speed with which the camera writes to it. I use both an Olympus E-510 and an E-410 and most of the time it's like using a film camera. RAW will slow down after a couple of shots but not seriously. SHQ JPEGs just go on as fast as can be. Sometimes I need to stop to see that what I've just shot is really on the card. It always is. I will never buy an CF card that is not Extreme IV at least not until something faster comes out.

Great Card for the Price!

This was purchased with rebates. Excellent quality. I don't notice a big speed increase for transfer rate from the Ultra II. I shoot with a canon 30D. Downloading from the card to computer is a little faster.

Speed-up your Digetal Camera

I had been using a Sandisk Extreme III 2 gig with my Nikon Coolpix 5400. I had moved up to the Extreme III in an effort to resolve the slow resolution speed problems I experienced with Nikon and other Compact flash momory cards. I usually use an image quality of "fine" and an Image size of "5m" (2592 x 1944). These settings result in a lot of data to be moved to the memory card and slow camera ready response. On a trip to Alaska last fall I found that my upgrade helped , but there were still some of those pregnant pauses while you waited for the image to be transferred to the compact flash memory. The speed had improved, but was still not as fast as my 35mm SRL. With hope of additional speed I purchased a Sandisk Extreme IV 2 gig about a month ago. [...] This baby sings! With the same image quality and size I listed above I have been shooting about as fast as with my 35mm SRL. I had to do a double take to assure myself that the camera was indeed ready for me to shoot again. My advice is that if you are experiencing “wait time” problems with your camera, move up to an Extreme IV. You will be happy with the result! Recycling tip: What to do with that old, slow Compact Flash Memory? Load your favorite pictures in it and uses it in a “photo frame device” where speed doesn’t matter. As an additional benefit, your wife will stop complaining that she doesn’t get enough prints from your digital photography. Dick M South Windsor CT 03/29/2007

Great product

Meets all my needs, great for field trips, no need to fool around with a number fo cards. With 2 GIG, I am able to shoot a large number of shots in all formats, and not change cards.

Just another UPC added.

It's a SanDisk product, you can depend on it. It's overpriced and over rated, not any faster than there lesser priced product.
