I am sorry later that I did not go for another model that has a built in VCR tuner in that I still like to time shift with a VCR. However, this is one capable unit that provides a great picture on my flat screen with the upconvert system. Even my old VHS tapes don't look quite so bad, either. A wonderful product that I would recommend to anybody.
