Comments about LG Electronics LG 50PQ10 50" Plasma TV with 600 Hz Fluid Motion and Invisible Speaker:

We purchased this for the master bedroom and it is wonderful. As other reviewers have mentioned, the picture quality looks better than 720p. We only use it to watch digital TV and DVD movies, so cannot compare it to Blue Ray quality. But we have no complaints about the picture. Very nice. A couple features are difficult even for me to figure out, and I successfully built my own basement home theater. One is I still cannot figure out how to set a channel as a favorite (I have yet to read the manual though). Another thing that I figured out but do not like (others may like this): when creating custom picture output settings, the settings apply just to that channel. And you have to customize one of the pre-existing settings like "standard" or "cinema." There is no "custom" choice to play with. One other minor thing I have noticed is I can hear a faint electronic hum from the TV late at night when the volume is turned down low. My wife says she cannot hear it, so I must be sensitive. Overall we love the TV, especially for the price. [...] I highly recommend Adorama, and specifically this TV if you are looking for a great large picture for a great price.

Mounted on Cheetah Mounts quite easily despite it's overall size. This TV can interpret the 1080p signal from DirecTV very well. Picture quality at 720p is as good as 1080p. Definitely worth the money [$].

Wanted a larger screen TV for football Sundays and this did not disappoint. I am by no means an expert on TVs, but am happy with this purchase. If budget is of concern, this is great choice.

Comments about LG Electronics LG 50PQ10 50" Plasma TV with 600 Hz Fluid Motion and Invisible Speaker:

Bought the LG due to price [$] and screen size. This plasma replaced an older unit in the family room that went out. Because I have a 42" Panasonic in the house also, was worried how the LG brand would compare as Panasonics are really ahead of the TV game and love my Panasonic. Was a bit concerned that at 50", would 720p perform well as I think anything over 50" requires 1080p to perform well (no tiling, etc). Shipped really fast, received in great condition, easy to setup and was watching TV in minutes. The LG picture (at 720p) is every bit as good, or better, than my 42" Panasonic! I was shocked at the picture. We've watched all kinds of sports, high action, etc, without any issues at all. Channels change fast, menu options are easy and picture clarity is fantastic. If there is a con to this plasma, it might be that there doesn't appear to be an excessive amount of hook-ups in the back. There are 2 HDMI connectors and some AVI, but my Panasonic has twice as many. For us, it didn't matter, we don't plug much stuff in, but if you have lots of components, I'd check into it prior to purchase.

Comments about LG Electronics LG 50PQ10 50" Plasma TV with 600 Hz Fluid Motion and Invisible Speaker:

I putchased this at American Tv/Appliance for [$]. I read all reviews I could find (though not many out there) Decided for the money I would get it. Went to store where they had it setting out front right next to a 60" 1080p tv hooked up to a bluray dvd player. Looked at both and told salesman I would take the 50" plasma LG. He looked puzzled. I mentioned he had the 60" hooked to HDMI cable (1080) and the 50" to the coax cable (480). I brought it home and hooked it up to cable box HD. Beautiful picture. Bought a 3 glass shelf stand fron [...] for $44. total investment of less than $600. You cannot tell difference between 1080 and 720 on a plasma. Also the picture on plasma are better than LCD especially if you watch sports or fast moving objects on it. LCD's can drag shadows across the screen. plasma looks like a large tube screen. I am very picky about my electronics so if i tell you the picture is flawless, you should believe me. I've only had it a couple weeks so I do not know about the dependability of it yet. But i left it on for 24 hours the day I got it.. something you should do with electronics.. they will usually break down in the first 24 or work for years. We'll see. So save some money, and pick up these cheap 720p tvs as long as they are pushing the 1080s. You will not be sorry.
