Comments about SanDisk SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 Player 2GB Black, RTL, AM:

It costs much less than iPod Shuffle but offers much more. It's smaller than a piece of sushi, yet features a usable LCD menu, radio and voice recording. You can play music in your preferred order/mode, in addition to shuffle, and you can see what is being played. The microSD slot effectively removes any limit on how much music/data you (not Steve Jobs) decide to carry around. The player plugs into the PC as a hard drive and loading it is as simple as copy and paste, freeing yourself from restrictive syncing/ripping software. Since it acts as a hard drive on the computer, you can save anything onto the player or read from it much like a flash drive, again something Steve Jobs would frown upon. The battery life is short (a few hours) as expected on such a compact device but the sound quality is much greater than its tiny body. I once completely drained the battery before recharging. That did cause the player to misbehave. I removed the microSD card, restarted the player and put the card back. Then the player automatically reinitialized the memory card. It took a minute or two. Then it was good again. Don't worry, it didn't remove anything. All in all, you (not Steve Jobs) are in control and the interface is simple. That's real user-friendliness.
