Comments about Toshiba Toshiba 55UL605U 54.6" Diagonal 1080p HD LED TV with ClearFrame 120Hz, Net TV and NetFlix:

The picture is great. It's nice and bright, but like all LED TVs I looked at, there is a slight white light leakage in the (4) corners of the screen.

Be sure you have room in the budget for a Sound Bar or a surround sound system, because you'll want one as soon as you turn it on. The sound is similar to a set of headphones with the volume at full blast sitting next to the TV. Very, very poor sound quality.

I called Toshiba, and they sent someone out two days later. The Tech also thought there was an issue with the sound and thought it could be the speakers or even the motherboard, but after he talked to Toshiba "engineers" we found out that they know it's very poor sound and they had no fix for it and did not think it was that big of a deal. They even told me that they recommend having a sound system, even though they do not manufacture one at Toshiba. So, in short, they want you to use a competitor's product to watch their TV. Makes great sense, doesn't it?
Another thing that sucks about it, the game mode must be turned on manually every time you switch to the "Game Console" input.
Other than having to spend 500.00 on a SurroundBar to watch it without getting a headache, it seems to be a good TV.

Would have given it 4 stars if the sound wasn't the worst I've ever heard. My grandmothers Black and White TV had better sound than this.

I would only reccomend this TV if you have a sound system that has an optical input (TV has no RCA Sound outputs).
