It was light and easy to use. It gave great closeups for its size and weight. I have used it to view birds and wildlife. While more magnification would have been nice, I could not have hiked and handled a heavier or bulkier product. It comes with a case which is completely a waste. The case does not close around the binoculars and there is no way to use the neck strap with the case. One other design problem is that there are no instructions for making the eyepiece covers work with the straps. I will probably have to buy a separate case
