took the Nuvi on a road trip to relocate my dgt to Denver. What a pleasure to never have to look at the $30 worth of maps that I had bought! It was so nice to locate hotels at the end of the day with the Nuvi....you knew what was ahead and could call for a room with the directory. Very accurate and redirects when you miss a turn or exit...easy to program and understand....liked it so well that I bought one for myself. Highly recommend...

This product is wonderful! My last Garmin, which was stolen, was nice, but this is even better. It is light weight and fits easily into my jacket pocket. The directions are simple to follow, especially with the text-to-speech feature, which in my opinion is a must have. If I could change one thing about the product it would be for it to come with a built-in memory for route preferences.

I am thrilled with this product. I love the clear screen and larger keyboard. (I needed glasses and a stylus to program my previous GPS system.) With the secure connections and optional friction dashboard mount, I am able to position the device so I can see it without taking my eyes from the road for more than a second.

I was able to use it to locate a business address without having to make a call.

Unlike my previous GPS experience, I have not had to wait for a signal. I once made an entire trip without getting a signal and had to resort to the old-style method of stopping and seeking directions along the way.

I am unable to comment on the battery life since I purchased this product this fall. So far, no problems.

The only feature I'm not crazy about is the voice. I wish I could select a different one.

The Garmin Nuvi 760 is excellent in its out-of-the-box setup and use. It truly saved my bacon today when I thought I knew where I was going but clearly did not. The Nuvi took me directly to the correct destination.

Now the bad: the FM transmitter is truly poor. I would classify it as unusable. I bought this Nuvi partly because of its FM transmitter capabilities (sends the audio thru the car's stereo when tuned to the same frequency as the Nuvi is set up to use). Regardless of car, setup and frequency the sound is awful through the car audio. Bummer. Otherwise, it is everything as advertised.

In short, I would still get a Garmin Nuvi, but not this model due to the almost non-existent FM performance.

I have owned and used expensive integrated GPS systems (Porsche, Hummer2, Audi) and this unit is far superior.
The fact you don’t have to sit in your vehicle to program it is a big PLUS and time saver. I often use Google maps or MapQuest to find my POI and send address over to the GPS via USB connection. Also use MapQuest to plan complex routes and send over to the unit...

The blue tooth to my phone using the unit as the mic/speaker works well. Also tuning the in-car fm to the device gives me MP3 music and turn directions via my in car system
I just purchased 2 new cars without integrated GPS so you can image how much I saved.

I find that it's useful to keep with me, even on well-known routes, in the event of detours. Has saved me on a number of times from going down the wrong road. CON: It isn't consistent on some roads. Sometimes it displays it, other times it doesn't recognize the same road.

This does it all....hands free blue tooth phone, directions, mp3 player that jacks right into my cars system and I can move it between my two rigs. I will even load software to it so I can do trail riding on our horses in the back country. I am awed by its versatility and usefulness

I am normally a big fan of Garmin, and I own many of their products. I was looking forward to using this product, but it is somewhat disappointing
The screen freezes way too many times during normal use, it has trouble identifying locations that are well known and have been around for years, and it doesn't route for you as stated, you have to do it manually
