This can not be used out of the box and the missing componenet is not available separately. I purchased this friction base when I purchased my GPR unit thinking it could be used out of the box with the Nuvi 660. Unfortunately, the web page was misleading and caused me to purchase a [$] paper weight and the added inconvenience of having to return it.

Product shown doesn't work with Nuvi 660. The arm necessary to connect the GPS to the mount was not included with the product. I spent hours on phone with Garmin & Adorama support without any success.
Had to return friction mount. Went to Circuit
City and bought another mount with the attaching arm. Beware when you purchase this product.
