Comments about Adorama Adorama Silica Gel with Indicator in a Reuseable Canister.:

This product needs to ship with written instructions. It just comes in a sealed clear plastic packet. Cut the plastic open and drop it in the camera bag. But how do you "recharge" it once the indicator turns pink? Is the container meant to be opened? Don't get me wrong, it's compact and seems to do the job. But even just a slip of paper with some explanation on how to use it would be enormously helpful. Also, please specify the dimensions of the product. It is 4" x 2" x 0.5".

Comments about Adorama Adorama Silica Gel with Indicator in a Reuseable Canister.:

If using in a very confined, small, and well-sealed case like those made by Pelican, these quasi-renewable anti-moisture units can be worthwhile...they won't tear or leak like the disposable kind (which are also renewable, but not as easily accomplished), at least in most uses... but the effectiveness of these is greatly limited if your case is frequently opened and exposed to humid air. if these sold as a three pack for [$], that would be one thing...but these are way overpriced. If you are using these for optical or photo gear (lenses, etc.) stored in drawers or file cabinets, etc. then you should spring for the heavier-duty models that renew by plugging into a wall outlet.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Silica Gel with Indicator in a Reuseable Canister.:

This stuff just plain works! I use it in all of my camera cases -- and also in our fireproof safe. These safes use a dense gel to makes them fire safe -- which also makes them incredibly humid inside. We found this out the hard way, when some important documents became moldy after just a few weeks inside our safe.

My product came in a package with instructions printed on the outside, which state:

When the crystals are BLUE the desiccant is active
When the crystals turn PINK it's time to reactivate the crystals as follows:

Place unit in vented 300-degree oven for 3 hours (or until crystals turn blue again). Hydrosorbent crystals can be reactivated indefinitely for a lifetime of protection.

No instructions on how to remove moisture from the product. What color should tell you when to remove moisture? How do you remove the moisture? I would like some information.
